Learning words from a bestseller

¡Hola! As you know, reading is an excellent way to increase your vocabulary. The book I am currently reading is Broken Music by Sting. Here are some of the words I have learnt so far:

• apprehensive: afraid, concerned, worried
• consolation: comfort, compassion, encouragement, act of offering comfort
• solace: peace, a form of comfort given to someone who is in distress
• palpable: obvious, tangible, visible
• reticent: shy, silent
• meticulous: accurate, detailed, precise
• exquisitely: beautifully, ideally, wonderfully
